The Rail is a traditional point-and-click graphic adventure set in a future where the only way to get resources to the cities is using high-speed trains that move through merciless deserts.
The protagonist of the adventure is the supervisor of one of these trains. During one of the routine trips, he sees a spaceship land on the roof of the train. A highjacker with bad intentions then lowers herself onto the train.
The highjacker's plan is to crash the train, along with the main character and the spaceship loaded with explosives, into the center of the city. The task of your impromptu hero will be, as you might imagine, to escape such a situation.
To succeed, you have to do the things typically done in graphic adventures: pick up objects, use them, and, basically, solve puzzles to advance in the story.
The Rail is a very entertaining graphic adventure that, although it's rather short, delivers a very interesting story and an excellent setting. Also, it takes up very little space and has graphics similar to the legendary adventures of the 90s.
